Whether it is water or highly viscous media that are to be handled in the mixing process Grundfos easily meets the requirements. Single-stage centrifugal pumps feed water to the mixing tank while the sanitary lobe pump gently handles the more viscous media encountered in processed food productions to preserve characteristic textures. If dosing is required, the lobe pump is capable of doing so in sanitary processes. In non-sanitary processes, separate dosing pumps are available for accurate dosing of e.g. brine and food ingredients.
Once the mixture is ready for cooking, temperature control becomes increasingly important. Grundfos' in-line centrifugal pumps are ideal for controlling the cooling and heating processes, making sure that the mass is efficiently heated to its specific level and subsequent cooled down, before moved along to the filling station. If pasteurisation is part of the process, sanitary stainless steel pumps are available to comply with the high hygienic requirements.
All Grundfos' sanitary pumps are CIP-compatible, allowing tanks, pipes and process lines to be efficiently cleaned without having to dismantle any equipment. In this way the production line is quickly prepared for the next batch, significantly reducing downtime.
If optimisation of the packing process is important, Grundfos offers advanced E-solutions that will automatically adjust the speed of the pumps on the production line to the speed of the packing process.
