IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE FOR MGE MODEL F MOTORS
DO NOT REMOVE TERMINAL BOX COVER DURING SERVICE OR MAINTENANCE, UNLESS MAINS POWER IS SWITCHED OFF
We would like to advise of a potential safety hazard (electrical shock) during service or maintenance operations on the Grundfos MGE Model F motor size (11 - 22 kW). This only includes motors manufactured from week 14 2017. These motors are utilised with CRE, MTRE, TPE, NBE, NKE pumps and multi-pump boosters.
We have issued this safety notice as we have become aware of incidents where service on MGE model F has been performed while having the terminal box cover removed and mains power connected (ON). Such procedure is not in accordance with Grundfos Service Instructions and poses a safety risk due to potential exposure to live 400 V terminals.
IMPORTANT: For all service /maintenance operations that require removal of terminal box cover, please ensure the power is OFF and work is undertaken by specifically trained personal. Please also ensure any local health and safety rules and regulations on electrical work are followed.
Please note: Live parts can be dangerous to touch for up to 30 minutes after disconnection. Please refer to the Grundfos Service Instructions.
